PHPS Cross Country is on the 18th April (in term 2). Our school Cross Country is usually a great afternoon because of the build up that happens during Phys. Ed. Classes and importantly is continued by keen students after hours. This is not just about trying to win a race but to improve your own health and fitness! So I want to encourage regular training so that completing the 2k or 3k run is a relatively comfortable experience!

Children who turn 8, 9 or 10 this year will run 2k and 11, 12, 13 year olds run 3k. The top ten finishers in the 10, 11, and 12/13 y.o groups will qualify for the District Cross Country on the 2ND May. We start the 9 year olds with the 8’s as we have such a large number of them, but if there are any children who will be turning 9 this year and wish to try and qualify for the District Cross Country they need to see me so that they can start and compete with the ten year olds. (Age groups for all School and Interschool competitions are based on the age that a child turns in that calendar year)
